Thank you to Karen Valentine for hosting the Creative Blog Party again this year!!
My camera is still not working so I’ve resorted to my camera on my phone. Not the best, but at least I managed to get something posted!
It has been just under a year since we moved to this house so my work space really is a work in progress. Please come in…..
My most used space in the room, of course, is my desk area. I can’t stand to part with furniture and this proves it. I think I bought this table for my kitchen in 1990.
Not only do I need to find space for supplies but also space for my dolls. They make me happy! The antique carriage was an anniversary gift from my husband. Inside the carriage is my collection of Barefoot Children.
The lamp on the desk belonged to my mother. It has the most relaxing soft light at night. I have my brushes and colored pencils in a little flower container I got a Michael’s. Perfect for keeping them organized.
Beside my desk I have a few of my antique children’s dresses hanging. Above it is a picture that…once again…was my mothers. The crowns are Christmas ornaments that were way too cute to put away with the tree!
Now for the cluttered part! I put my bookshelves in the corner with my cutting table in front of it so I could easily open it for cutting fabric. It also gives me a good place for painting with my paints nearby. The shelves have a variety of things on them including a vintage sewing basket full of vintage notions. Although I’m addicted to Pinterest, I still enjoy looking at printed pages so the books are here to stay until I clear another place for them!
On the other wall is my cubes full of supplies. Not the prettiest things to look at but much needed! On top is a Pinocchio that sings a Christmas song. My grandson loves it! So much that new strings for Pinocchio is now on my list of things to do!
The chest of drawers was part of my daughters childhood bed set. The little shelves above are from Michael’s and was one of those purchases I thought I just had to have when it was 50% off! I think I could’ve lived without it!
On the chest is a child’s antique parasol, bonnet and gloves and two French spools purchased my last visit to New Orleans. The dolls are reproductions made by my mother and I.
The drawers are filled with fabrics that hopefully will get used in the near future!
Thank you for visiting! I hope you enjoyed my space! I can’t wait to visit all of the other blogs!

Howdy Neighbor, so glad to meet you. I love your blog and I am your newest follower. Thanks for stopping by. I love your studio, the chest photo with all the fabric folded so neatly just about did me in. I love organization but it doesn't seem I can ever get my supplies in that shape.
Yes, I am feeling your pain. I also had to use my phone and it just doesn't cut it. I will be breaking down soon to purchase yet another camera.

What a beautiful and inspiring space! I love the dolls and the vintage children's clothing you have displayed. I have vintage nightgowns out, but would prefer to have childrens things as they are smaller and prettier! I am so impressed with how tidy everything is and those dolls that you and your mom created! You are a talented lady.
